Mrs. Moss has a B.Ed. and sixteen years of teaching experience. She has been involved in Sussex Christian School since 1987 in a variety of capacities including teaching, classroom assistant , serving on Council, fund-raising and promotion, and Administration. Mrs. Moss also currently teaches Grade 12 Pre-calculus. She has three children, all of which attend Sussex Christian School.

Ms. Boyd-Mitchell is a product of Christian School education herself. Since graduating from Rothesay Baptist Christian School, she has earned a B.Sc. in Christian School Education and a Masters in Education. She has taught for eight years and has served as Principal of Sussex Christian School for the past five years. Ms. Boyd-Mitchell is also the homeroom teacher for the Grade 11-12 class at SCS and teaches a variety of classes in grades 7 to 12, primarily in English and the humanities.

Vice-Principal: Nora-Lynn Jones

Mrs. Jones has a B.A., a B.Ed. in Special Education, and an M.A. in Communications Disorders. She has 17 years of teaching experience. Prior to joining the staff of SCS in 19__, Mrs. Jones taught in New Brunswick, Newfoundland and _________________. Mrs. Jones also teaches the Grade 5-6 class. She has two sons, both students at Sussex Christian School.

Teacher: Anita Wallace

Mrs. Wallace has a B.Sc. in agriculture and four years of teaching experience with SCS. Along with her homeroom responsibilities to the Grade 9-10 class, Mrs. Wallace teaches sciences and math for the Junior and Senior High grades at SCS. She currently serves as the faculty advisor for the SCS Student Council.

Teacher: Pamela Alward

Mrs. Alward has earned a B.Sc. in Christian School Education, an M.A. in Education and an M.A. in Elementary Education. She brings 21 years of teaching experience to her position, including ____ years as Program Director of the Christian School Education program at Bethany Bible College. In the past she has served as a valuable advisor on the SCS School Council and the Administrative Team. Presently, Mrs. Alward also is the teacher representative for the school’s Parent-Teacher Fellowship Committee. She is the mother of three boys, all currently attending SCS.

Teacher: Muriel Gray

Mrs. Gray has a Province of New Brunswick Teaching Certificate II, and brought eleven years of teaching experience in the public school system before joining the staff at Sussex Christian School last year. Her own family is grown, and she exhibits a great love for the students who are in her care.

Teacher: Sherry Cowper

Mrs. Cowper has a B.Sc. in Christian School Education and thirteen years of teaching experience. In her time at SCS, Mrs. Cowper has taught at a variety of levels from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 4. This year, she has also assisted in bringing leadership to the annual Missions Week. Her oldest child is currently enrolled at SCS and she has a toddler at home.

Teacher: Mrs. Darlene Perreault

Mrs. Perreault has four years of teaching experience with SCS. Prior to that, she has several years’ experience in daycare, after school programs, and as a teacher’s assistant and aid in the public school system. Aside from caring for the youngest members of our student body, Mrs. Perreault has helped in a variety of capacities, including Year Book Committee, Drama, and Chapel Worship. Mrs. Perreault has two children, one of which currently attends SCS.

Mrs. McCallum’s number of years serving on a volunteer basis in Christian School led her to bring her husband and two children from Digby, NS to complete her Bachelor of Christian School Education. During the four years of study to receive her teaching degree, Mrs. McCallum faithfully volunteered at SCS while her children have been enrolled here. Upon receiving her degree last year, she was added to the part time staff at SCS, and is currently serving as physical education teacher and high school girls’ basketball coach.

Mrs. Carruthers has a Bachelor in Christian School Education. She lends her musical ability to the youngest of our students by teaching a weekly music class for Junior Kindergarten through Grade 2. Mrs. Carruthers has three children, two attending SCS and a toddler at home.

Teacher: Theresa Hickman

Mrs. Hickman brings many years of choir direction and musical talent to Sussex Christian School. She assists in leading worship in the weekly chapel services, as well as directing choir for grades 1 to 4 and 5 to 8. Mrs. Hickman has five children, three of whom have graduated from Sussex Christian School, and two currently enrolled at SCS.
